FlowCollector

The FlowCollectorTM processor passively analyzes IP network-bound traffic in real-time, identifying the networks your applications are sending traffic to and measuring round-trip performance and bandwidth utilization to active destination networks.

FlowDirector

The FlowDirector™ processor monitors and optimizes routes for your applications and ensures that performance and/or ISP cost policies are met. If the FlowDirector processor determines that an alternative link would better meet your established policies for a particular destination, it proactively redirects destination-specific traffic to that link by issuing a standard Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) route update to your router.
The FlowDirector patent-pending algorithm, IntelliPoint Routing™, determines precisely where the middle-mile converges for each prefix, allowing the route inspection engine to monitor and optimize only the "true" middle-mile. The IntelliPoint Routing algorithm maximizes scalability and manageability, while ensuring that no route change adversely affects other users. In addition to intelligent topology discovery and analysis, the FlowDirector processor is capable of detecting blackholes/brownouts, routing loops and transient failures that occur in the middle mile of the Internet.

IntelliChoice™, another patent-pending algorithm, optimizes all traffic for cost and performance simultaneously. IntelliChoice allows you to get predictable Internet performance at the lowest cost.

FlowView Network

The FlowView™ tool offers an extensive set of reports detailing top destination prefixes, round-trip destination performance, bandwidth usage/cost, traffic delivery performance, route change activity through its local database of top destination prefixes, performance/usage statistics, route change logs and long-term planning reports. FlowView also provides specific application data by reporting priority-based traffic by Port ID or Source/Destination IP address.

FlowPreview Network

Preview the benefits of implementing the FCP solution, using optional FlowPreview™ reports on bandwidth usage/cost, current and projected traffic delivery performance, and projected route change activity – without making active route changes. This is an excellent method to understand your network and the FCP solutions' impact prior to making proactive route updates. Both the FlowView and FlowPreview tools provide historical reporting over customizable time periods and a convenient dashboard of key indicators for ongoing network monitoring, with individual reports tailored to a broad spectrum of personnel from executives to network engineers. All reports are accessible via a secure web interface using a standard web browser or via email-based profiles.
